What law books should I read to prepare for law school?
I would like to prepare for my first year in law school. I am looking to purchase books on torts, contracts, civil procedure, constitutional law, and criminal law. Any recommendations on which books to read? I've heard Gilbert's Law Reviews have good outlines, but is it easy to read and understand? Please advise.

Emanuel's is a good outline - I liked it better than Gilbert's. Examples & Explanations is also good. For class, you should get High Court Case Notes, which are keyed to your textbooks and summarizes each case in the book. You do not need to purchase any books on the above topics until you get your book list though. The books are very expensive and you do not want to get the wrong book. You should take it easy before heading to law school. Maybe read 1L or watch the Paper Chase. But, to begin reading textbooks is not something I would advise you do. You will be doing enough of that when school starts!!!!!

Would my high school grades have any benefit when I enlist in the Air Force?
My orginal plan was to apply and hopefully attend the air force academy in colorado. But after taking my sat's and reviewing my overall high school grades, ive accepted that it will not happen. Insteat, im planning on enlisting in the Air Force and go to college that way. Although not good enough for the academy, my grades are still pretty proficient. I was wondering if good grades in high school would make any difference when I enlist?

While most "scholarship program" scholarships are awarded to students planning on technical majors, that is not the case with "college program" scholarships. I think only college credits can give you any benefits. I'm joining the army and I'm going to promoted up one rank with that alone.

No, but learning more now will help with your ASVAB. It will also help when you enlist, if you want to do college while on active duty. Trust me, the more study now the easier it will be to study when you enlist.

When admission officers review college applications, do they review them by school?
FOr example... do they look at all the kids from one school that applied and go on to the next school... etc... does anyone know??

I was a college admissions officer for 3 years. Although I've never heard of reviewing all applications from one school and then moving on to another school, it is also good to note that many admissions reps have clearly defined territories and are responsible for all the schools in a particular territory. This means that admissions officers are often quite familiar with the specifics of individual schools and can judge some things about the caliber of student applications on the basis of their class rank, gpa, and test scores within the specific school system the student belongs to.

Whom should I contact in order to get a press pass to an early viewing of a film for my high school newspaper?
Help! I'm writing a movie review of the Twilight Movie (coming out November 21) for my school's publication and I'm trying to figure out whom I should contact in order to see the movie before the release date. I know movie critics do it, because the reviews come out several days before the movie is released. Should I talk to the studio? The distribution company? The production company? Thanks for the help.

How do I save a book review online for a presentation at school
I am writing a book review online and my U.S.B. drive has been stolen. I tried using my girlfriends but hers has errors on it. How can I save information online so I can pop it up on the screen at school and talk about it, or copy it and paste it. I am desperate! Also is there a free program better than notepad? If so I would appreciate it if you could inform me!

The International School of Choueifat, Sharjah is a branch of the International School of Choueifat located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates that follows the 'SABIS' system. The school opened in 1975 and is located just beside the cricket stadium in Sharjah. It was the first Choueifat School in the whole middle-eastern region. It has 3,000 students, two indoor swimming pools, a football field, several full-sized basketball and football courts, two cricket nets, two squash courts, 2 multipurpose, air-conditioned, indoor gymnasiums, one outdoor canteen and one indoor canteen. The management of SABIS would have parents believe that many of their students go on to attend the top-class universities around the world. They even boast that they have so-called certificates placed in the foyers of their schools. However, in point of fact, few ex-choueifat students attend the Ivy League universities. The students who do attend university complain bitterly that the SABIS system did not prepare them for university life. Many former teachers of the system complain bitterly about the old-fashioned, non-creative and anachronistic approach endoctrinated into students by SABIS. It is clear that the primary goal of SABIS is to make enough money as they can from education with total disregard to the educational development of students.
